Connections Program for Incoming Freshmen: 8th graders transitioning to a Sioux Falls public high school this fall are encouraged to sign up for the Connections summer program. On Tuesday, April 21 — World Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) Awareness Day — Memorial Middle School wears orange in support of Dr. Moon and to raise awareness for AML. We are proud to stand together as a community. 🧡

Memorial Middle School congratulates five retiring staff members at the close of the 2025–26 school year: Julie Carlson (Librarian), Deb Karlson (Library Clerical), Deb Sandborn (Science), Sue Zueger (ELA), and Julie Ortman (Social Studies). MMS also proudly honors Patty Hansen for 25 years of dedicated service.

ELA State Testing is taking place at Memorial Middle School on Monday, April 13 and Wednesday, April 15. Students are encouraged to get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast on testing days (and every day!).
