We are excited to support The Barrel House's all-day Hungry Hearts Fundraiser benefiting the Angel Fund, which helps ensure every student in the Sioux Falls School District has access to a meal. Come out and enjoy some great food, fun activities (dunk tanks, bouncy house, axe throwing, and more!), and make a difference for our students! Hope to see you there!

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year.
The First Day of School is August 21st, 2025! We are so excited to welcome all of our students back to school for another fun year of learning and growth!
The school day will be 7:55am-2:45pm! Breakfast will start at 7:30.
Reminder the Oak View Library will be closed for renovations and not available for students after school.

End of the year festivities!
Rain or shine, some students got to enjoy their end of the year fun activities. Our 5th grade students found some clear skies to launch their rockets they made. For a week and a half, they worked hard to buy materials, plan their project, and work with a classmate to create a rocket they could launch into the sky.
Our 2nd grade students got to enjoy a fun time at the Sanford Sports Center. From basketball, football, soccer in the fieldhouse, and fun games in the gym, students got to burn some energy and have some fun. Thank you to the Sanford Sports Center for hosting and donating sports balls to our classrooms.
Last Day of School Fun!
Anne Sullivan got to celebrate our last day of school with a little fun! We had bouncy houses, arts and crafts, face painting, treats and more! It was so good to spend time together as an Anne Sullivan Community before sending all the students off to summer break.
We hope that everyone has a fun and safe summer break! 🌞😎🌟

Future Warrior Day!
Today all of our students got to venture over to Washington High School for Future Warrior Day. Washington High School students put on activities for our students to enjoy. Games like scooters, high jump, tug-a-war, beach ball volleyball, and more! All of our students had a blast and got to play with the high schoolers that joined!

On Friday we got to celebrate our school year and especially our 5th grade students who are leaving us for middle school. Just a few of the mentions included:

We also celebrated our teachers who are retiring and staff who are moving to different buildings or teaching jobs!

⚽ Last Saturday Soccer on May 17th! ⚽
Reminder, this Saturday is our last Saturday for Neighborhood Soccer! It was a quick four weeks or learning and teamwork! Thank you to all of the volunteers, families, and students who attended and supported!
🌟 Today we celebrated our 2025 Graduates for English Language Learners! 🌟
Every February our EL students work hard on the WIDA ACCESS test to see how far they have come with their English Language Learning. So many of our students made amazing growth and some scored with proficient scores! That is AMAZING! We are so proud of all our students and their hard work!

🦎 5th Grade to the Omaha Zoo 🦎
Friday, our 5th grade students took a big field trip to the Omaha Zoo. They had a great time seeing all of the different animals, exploring the different habitat areas, and spending time together before they leave for middle school.
2nd Grade Field Trip to the Washington Pavilion!
Yesterday afternoon, our 2nd grade students got to explore all things science. From farming, to exercise, dinosaurs, and water, the students all had a blast. With three floors of fun and learning, the students were able to enjoy time exploring on their own!

This week we want to celebrate our Anne Sullivan teachers and all they do for our students and building. We couldn't do the things we do each and every day without them! If you would like to celebrate a teacher this week, here are some ideas!
Monday: Bring your teacher a flower.
Tuesday: Bring your teacher a treat.
Wednesday: Make your teacher a card.
Thursday: Give your teacher a hug.
Friday: Do something kind for your teacher.
If you see a teacher, don't forget to say thanks!
🌳 4th Grade students visit Good Earth State Park🌳
Our 4th grade students got to enjoy the great outdoors Friday! With perfect weather, a little hiking, and bird sightings, they had a great time! The Game, Fish, and Parks workers were there and found a blue jay for the students to see up close. Students got to learn about branding birds to track their flight and behavior patterns.
🦏 5th Grade to the Omaha Zoo 🦍
On Friday the 5th grade students will go to the Omaha Zoo. They will need to be to school at 7:15am. If they are late, they will not be able to attend. Meet at the flagpole at the front of the school.
We ask that students do not bring backpacks, money, cell phones, food other than their cold lunch. Please help your student dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
Students will return to school at 5pm. please have a plan to pick up your student at that time.
