Staff participated in a holiday door decorating contest this month! Congratulations to Mrs. Hallstrom (speech language pathologist) for her winning door featuring Mr. Wagner (assistant principal) as Clark from the Christmas Vacation movie! In second place, we had a tie between Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Amdahl and Mrs. Naasz, for their gingerbread house and barnyard designs. Honorable mention went to the student support team for their Elfie Selfie! Stay tuned to see the rest of the doors!

The Terry Redlin Elementary Book Swap is happening now! Families may go through their book collection and choose books for K-5th grade reading level in good condition they no longer need. Bring those books to school anytime now, if you’d like to participate in the Book Swap. Complete the sheet to include when you turn in your books, indicating how many books you’ve brought and whether any of those are a donation.
Between December 16th through the 19th, your child will have an opportunity to “shop” for their books on their library day, equal to the amount they’ve brought (minus any donation). For example, if a child brings two books, they can shop for two different books.
Each child will be able to shop for at least one book, even if they’re unable to contribute a book. So, start evaluating your books at home and set aside the ones ready to go to a new home. Thank you for helping us have a successful swap!

We are finishing our first week of Holiday Theme Days. On Friday, students and staff can wear their favorite festive sweater!
