The Spring Musical is here! 🧜♀️ Join the cast 🌊under the sea🌊 at the Thursday/Friday evening performances. 8th graders will be visiting Southeast Technical College in the first part of the week, and orchestra students compete at the Festival of Orchestras on Thursday.


Today, 12 bikes and 50 helmets were donated to Whittier for the NEW Bike Club. Thank you to the Whittier community for all of your help in making these ideas and opportunities for our students come to life! #SupportEachOther


Last week, the 6th Combo team visited The Outdoor Campus. Though temperatures were rising and snow was melting, students were still able to ice fish, just from the dock instead of the ice! #WhittierInTheWild

Not only is it Leap Day, but it is also Rare Disease Day! 🦓 Whittier Staff, sporting zebra stripes and/or rare disease colors (💜💗💙💚), gathered donations for Owen's Outfitters. Owen's Outfitters is a local medical lending library whose mission is to provide durable and disposable medical equipment at no charge to those who need it most, sourced through community donations. #SupportEachOther


Whittier had 3 fantastic students participate in SD Middle School All State Orchestra this last weekend: Sergio Rivera Sanchez (6th), Khloe Lesesne (8th), and Julia Beck (8th). They could not have represented themselves and Whittier any better at a state event. Congratulations!




The Whittier Očéti Šakówiŋ Owáuŋspe (OSO) class visited Terry Redlin again this past week to mentor the elementary students. They played games together to learn about equivalent fractions. #WhittierInTheWild #HelpingHands


This past weekend, 8th grade basketball students traveled to USD with Promising Futures. Students heard about college life from an undergraduate student panel and took part in a relay race in the Dakota Dome. One of our students, Sam Dorbor, was on the winning team! They wrapped up the trip by watching the USD vs Oral Roberts basketball game where USD won by 1 point! #WhittierInTheWild
